Important Dates and Info:
- Vote Early: Whether you’re dropping off a mail ballot at an in-person dropbox or early voting at the polls, make a plan to vote and VOTE EARLY! Find more info and make a plan HERE.
- Tuesday, November 3, 2026 is Election Day. But some polling locations in Alameda County begin early in-person voting on October 24 and allow you to VOTE EARLY. On Election Day, in-person polls are open 7AM to 8PM. You can find a list of all voting locations in Alameda County HERE.
- Monday, October 19, 2026 is the last day to register to vote in California. You can register to vote or check your registration HERE.
- Mail-in ballots go out starting out October 5. Ballots can be returned by mail, dropped off at a secure drop-off location OR the Alameda county elections office as early as October 5. You can find a list of all secure drop-off boxes in Alameda County HERE.
- Ballot Tracking: Every vote must be counted. If you voted using a mail-in or absentee ballot, you can make sure that your ballot was counted by tracking it via the California Secretary of State's website HERE.
- Tune out the Noise: While it feels like the 2026 election has been anything but normal, remember that American elections are safe and secure. Don’t let the news dissuade you from making your voice heard at the ballot box.
