Congresswoman Simon Votes to Advance Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (D-CA-12) released the following statement today after voting against a motion to table H. Res. 537, Impeaching Donald John Trump, President of the United States for high crimes and misdemeanors: 

“Today I voted to advance Articles of Impeachment against President Trump. 

“I believe that President Donald Trump has acted unconstitutionally, showed complete disregard for the rule of law, and abandoned his responsibility to serve all Americans.”
